 VBS Saddle Ridge Training
The Stone Mountain Baptist Associaton will be hosting a VBS training conference on March 11 from 7 - 9 pm. The training will be at Milstead Baptist Church and the cost is $5.00 (to be collected at the door). Lifeway consultant Kim Harris will be facilitating. Let's Talk Immigration
Morris Immigration Law Firm is presenting "Safe Saturdays" - One hour immigration seminars here at the SMBA. Join them here from 10 - 11 am starting Saturday February 20th to discuss legal issues regarding immigration. "Safe Saturdays" will be once a month for 6 months and are open to the public. Topics discussed will be such as how to obtain a work permit, family immigration, citizenship, and much more. The cost is $25 per Saturday and translation will be provided for Spanish speakers.  "I'M THE MAN" 2010 Conference: The Spiritual Legacy of a Man May 14-15 at Ridgecrest Conference Center
We're not saying that these are the only characteristics of what makes a man, but we have chosen to start with these four: lead, protect, mentor, and serve. This year's conference will focus on these actions that are demanded from men. We understand that men must first need to be affirmed in order to minister to them.  Southeast Black Sunday School Conference April 30 - May 1 Greenforest Community Baptist Church in Decatur, GA
This event will help Sunday school leaders gain a new understanding about the importance of their role, how to build and grow a strong GOSS (Growth Oriented Sunday School), and how to reach people for Christ through the Sunday School. This event provides skill development for building strong Sunday Schools along with addressing issues within the context of traditions and culture of the African American church.
