THE NET IMPLEMENTATION FAQ's

Out of 1,200 Associations nationwide, our Association has been asked to be one of five to conduct a “pilot project” in 2009 that will be used as a model by churches and associations in 2010 as Southern Baptist launches this national initiative. We are encouraging every church in our Association to participate! To date over two-thirds of our Pastor’s have been introduced to the concept and we are asking God to give us 100% participation from our churches.

Gospel Saturation:

Taking the Gospel to every home in your community.

Can you imagine the difference it would make in your church community if every home received a Gospel message and packet of information from your church? Obviously it would make a Kingdom impact.

Here’s how your church can make that happen! It’s easy and simple. Follow these steps:
Step 1. Pick up some clear plastic door hanger bags from the Associational office in Conyers.
Step 2. Pick up some “Find it Here” Gospel presentation cards at the Associational office.
Step 3. Purchase some “Invitation” Bibles from the local LifeWay Christian Resources
Step 4. Assemble the bags and include the following information in the bag from your church:
Step 5: Schedule a Gospel Saturation Day at your church. We are asking churches to do this simultaneously on: Saturday, June 20 & Sat., July 18.
A.church brochure giving the service times, ministries of your church, address, phone number and website.
B. Enclose a brochure/flyer about an upcoming event at your church such as VBS, a concert, etc.
C. Group the bags into 5’s using a bread tie to bind them together
D. Make the bags available to your church members at every service and encourage them to distribute them to family, friends, and neighbors. Encourage your church members to distribute the bags “as they go” to the grocery store, the bank, the gas station, etc

You will note that some of these have already occurred; it’s not to late to pray for them as the follow-up with families are being made.
Notice that Light House Church is having Sunday afternoon events for 6 weeks as a different approach to VBS.

We only have a partial list but remember to pray for all our churches as they offer many different opportunities for leading our communities to Christ.

Havesting

We are asking churches to conduct an event in their community and to join with other churches of their choice for simultaneous baptism days. In this phase we are asking churches to:

1. Conduct an Evangelistic Event (Block Party or a Back to School Party) off campus
2. Conduct an off campus Baptism event
3. Assimilate new believers into the body life of the church

January ’09: Develop our Associational and church strategy

February ’09: Train and equip our people in evangelism using our Leadership Summit on February 28^th.

March ’09: Hear from our churches their strategy and obtain resource support from our denominational partners to launch the initiative in every church.

April ’09 – Dec. ’09 Launch the National Evangelism Initiative in our churches!
